Well Said Sundays; A Quote to Note XVII

Quotes for Healin' the Ole Heart

It's so curious:  one can resist tears and 'behave' very well in the hardest hours of grief.  But then someone makes you a friendly sign behind a window, or one notices that a flower that was in bud only yesterday has suddenly blossomed, or a letter slips from a drawer... and everything collapses.  ~Colette

Sadness flies away on the wings of time.  ~Jean de La Fontaine

Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night.  I miss you like hell.  ~Edna St. Vincent Millay

The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief.  ~William Shakespeare, Othello

It is foolish to tear one's hair in grief, as though sorrow would be made less by baldness.  ~Cicero

When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.  ~Alexander Graham Bell

It is such a secret place, the land of tears.  ~Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince

Pity Party? Your table for one is ready!

In the past week I broke up with my boyfriend and got fired from a job!
Does mascara wash out of sheets? Just kidding!
Stinks, but life goes on, dunnit?
Here are some melodramatic images.

Trolley Chic

Have these gals ever heard of fresh direct?  Personally I am a bigger fan of Kate's look  than Michelle's in this  category. Women should not own baseball hats.

I guess I need to cultivate more of a signature look when I am at the grocery store. Not because of  paparazzi (obviously), but because ex-boyfreinds and people from their camp can be lurking anywhere, you just NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY WILL POP 'ROUND THE CEREAL AISLE PEOPLE!  Trust me, the last thing you want is to be caught looking like a broken umbrella buying a mini-bottle of wine, alone. Ingrid Bergman

"How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being. "

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"Nobody has ever measured, not even poets, how much the heart can hold".
Zelda Fitzgerald

Pearl Divers

As a compliment to my new found love of fishermen, I am also going to start spending more time thinking about pearl divers. You are probably thinking "duh!", but truthfully I  haven't thought about pearl divers in at least 7 months, so this is just a reminder to get it back in to the rotation.

Amazing

I didn't realize these spunky shorts were part of the uniform, and that it's a job where you can be topless! Where do I sign up?
